I would really like to play this game, as I loved the original psp2, so if someone could give me some advice, or just straight-up tell me that my phone is shit, if that's the case, or maybe tell me the optimal settings for ppsspp on android so it runs smoother, or anything useful at all, I'd really, really appreciate it. I remember I could play the original phantasy star portable 1 & 2 on my previous, non-gaming phone that also had 2 gb of RAM (but with no gaming hardware) just fine. Is my phone not capable of handling the game, like I thought? It only has 2 gb of RAM, but it has that crackdragon (snapdragon?) stuff and a good graphics card, as the store dude at Best Buy assured me that it is a gaming phone.

So, now, I don't know what could be wrong. But all that did was get a half second of the music (I think it's the music, anyway) to play before it completely froze again.

I tried changing all the settings that I understood would help with lag, as I thought it was just because my phone (motorola e5 cruise, which is an android) wasn't capable of handling it. After that, it goes to the black loading screen with the patterns on it, then completely freezes my ppsspp app.

I opened ppsspp, found the game, ran it, and everything worked fine… until I choose "new game".

I checked, rechecked, and rerechecked, plus I rererechecked just to make sure, and all the files are where they need to be. 1" file from the op's link, I extracted all the files, and put everything where it needs to be, including taking the contents of the folders (meaning the "NPJH…" folders) and placing them in the right folders.

So, I have a problem with getting the game to work.
